Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data LastCut collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. LastCut is a service of Quinn Care Private Limited ("Quinn", "we", "us"), which turns a creator's own photos and voice into short videos and, when asked, posts them to the creator's Instagram and YouTube accounts. It applies to app.lastcut.video and to LastCut on WhatsApp.
1. Who we are
Quinn Care Private Limited, Bengaluru, India, is responsible for the personal data described here. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we act as the Data Fiduciary; under the EU and UK GDPR, as the controller. You can reach us at support@quinn.live.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Your account: your name and email address, and your phone number if you use LastCut on WhatsApp. You sign in with Google, a code sent to your email, or a code sent on WhatsApp.
- The person in the videos: photos, videos and voice recordings of the person who presents your videos (you, or someone who has agreed to it). We use them to make a voice that sounds like them and videos in which they appear to speak.
- What you make with us: your projects, ideas, takes, scripts, notes, rules, files you upload, the transcripts of calls you add, and your messages to LastCut's assistant.
- Billing: the credits you buy and their receipts. Card and UPI payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.
What we collect from accounts you connect
You can connect an Instagram professional account or a YouTube channel to a project. We only connect when you sign in on Instagram's or Google's own page and agree, and you can disconnect at any time.
- Instagram: your account's id, username, name, account type and profile picture; the list of your reels and posts; and their numbers (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves and watch time). We publish a video to your account only when you ask LastCut to post or schedule it.
- YouTube: your channel's id and name; the list of your uploads; and their numbers (views, likes, comments, shares and watch time from YouTube Analytics). We upload a video to your channel only when you ask LastCut to post or schedule it.
The tokens these platforms give us are stored encrypted, each tied to the one account it was given for, and are never shown on a page or to LastCut's assistant.
What we collect automatically
Usage and device data such as log entries, IP address and browser information, and the cookies that keep you signed in.
3. How we use it
- to make your videos: research, scripts, the voice, the lip-synced picture, the edit and the captions;
- to post or schedule your videos to the accounts you connected, when you ask;
- to show you how your posted videos did, and to use those numbers when we write your project's next scripts;
- to sign you in, run your account and your credits, and tell you when a video is ready or needs you;
- to keep LastCut secure, fix problems and improve it; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or show one account's data, videos or numbers to another account. We do not use your photos, voice, videos or connected accounts' data to train general AI models.
4. Instagram and Meta data
Data from your Instagram account is used only to post the videos you ask us to, and to show you and your project how they and your other posts did. It isn't shared with anyone outside the providers listed in section 6, who process it for us. You can remove LastCut's access at any time: disconnect it in your project's Setup, or remove LastCut in Instagram (Settings, Apps and websites).
Deleting your Instagram data. When you remove LastCut in Instagram's settings, or ask Meta to delete the data LastCut holds about you, Meta tells us and we delete your Instagram connection and the data we read from your account, such as your reels' numbers. You can also email support@quinn.live to ask us to delete it.
5. Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to make your account. If you connect a YouTube channel, we use it only to upload the videos you ask us to post and to read their numbers for you. This data isn't sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. LastCut's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove LastCut's access at any time in your Google account's security settings, or disconnect the channel in your project's Setup.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with:
- Providers who run LastCut for us, under contracts that limit them to our instructions: cloud hosting and storage (DigitalOcean), email and WhatsApp messaging, payments, and the AI services that make the videos, such as voice (Cartesia, ElevenLabs), video and image generation, and language models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). A photo or a recording goes to such a service only to make the part of the video it's needed for.
- Your own Claude account, if you connect it: the work LastCut does for you on it is sent to Anthropic under your account.
- Instagram and YouTube, when you ask us to post a video there.
- Advisers and authorities where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights or safety of anyone, or in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
7. International transfers
We and our providers may store and process personal data outside your country, including outside India, the EEA and the UK. Where the law requires, we put safeguards in place for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open, so your videos and projects stay available to you. When you disconnect an account, we stop using its access and delete the token. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, the photos and recordings of the person in your videos, their voice, your projects and your videos, except records the law requires us to keep, such as payment records for tax.
9. Security
We protect personal data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or move it to another provider; you may object to or restrict some processing and withdraw your consent at any time; under India's DPDP Act you may nominate someone to act for you; and you may complain to your data protection authority or the Data Protection Board of India. To do any of this, including deleting your account, email support@quinn.live. We'll confirm it's you and answer within the time the law gives.
11. Cookies
We use only the cookies LastCut needs to work and keep you signed in. You can clear them in your browser, which signs you out.
12. Children
LastCut isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new date and, for an important change, tell you in LastCut or by email.
14. Contact and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, write to support@quinn.live. In India, our Grievance Officer can be reached at the same address for any concern under the DPDP Act, and will answer within the time the law sets.
